Embroidered Tassels by Marlis Bennett
A plain blouse makeover with scraps of ribbon and tassel embroidery. Someone else’s trash can be your treasure. The ribbons that adorn this basic white linen blouse had been salesman samples that found their way into my resource center, which you might know as a stash. The challenge was to use these beautiful 6-7” strips of ribbon. With an abstract layout and tassel embroideries, a plain white shirt went from blah to wow!

Makeover in a Minute by Mary Mulari
Simple but effective makeover of a solid blouse with patches and embroidery.
It’s always an enjoyable challenge to start with an ordinary garment and make it extraordinary. My preference is to add a few new features and deco-rations but not overwhelm the garment with too many details.
